The Custom/Bespoke Process

If you are after a piece of furniture or a wood based product that you have in mind but have never been able to find anywhere, then we can help.

‘Breaking the ice’

Don’t be afraid to send us an e mail asking what is possible. A general idea is all that’s needed but if you can find a picture of a similar piece or even just a certain aspect that you like, this will help us understand what you are after. At this point any specific requirements are also helpful, i.e. overall dimension (height, length and width) or ‘we would like the dining table to seat 6 people’. With this initial idea we will then progress into more details.

Consultation

If the piece is built in or is heavily affected by its surroundings, we might suggest a site visit with you. This is when we will refine your idea/concept. We will most likely have some follow up questions and talk about functionality, i.e. how much use is the piece going to get, what sort of finish are you looking for? etc.

Design process

Using this information, we will produce a 3D design of your piece and most likely have some final detail questions, i.e. would you like soft-close drawer runners? what colour fittings? etc.

Quote

A final model drawing will be provided with a quote for the piece. Small adjustments can still be made at this point but once the quote has been accepted the design and details of the piece are finalised. To accept the quote, we require a 50% deposit and will give you an approximate time when your piece will be ready.

Build and Final Product

During the build we will keep you updated on progress with photos and a small explanation of what is happening. Once the piece is finished we'll send you final photos and then get the piece ready for delivery for you to enjoy.
